Adopted in Parliament a law on de-occupation of Donbass does not exclude the liberation of the occupied territories by force. In an interview with Hromadske said Secretary of the NSDC Oleksandr Turchynov.
“We are not saying that today, may exempt the territory solely by force. But this law does not exclude such a path and creates the preconditions for this. So it was not necessary to adopt additional legislation that would provide legal framework for the use of force while countering the aggressor,” he said.
The NSDC Secretary stressed that the law does not cross the path of peace. According to Turchynov, Ukraine relies on a diplomatic solution to the conflict, despite the fact that Russia sabotages the Minsk agreement.
On 8 February, the Chairman of the Parliament Andrei Parubiy sent to the President for signature Petro Poroshenko law on Donbas “on peculiarities of state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.
