The national Dovzhenko film Studio as an object that has national status, can not be privatized.
This was stated by the Minister of culture Evgeny nisoc, reports UKRINFORM.
“I am strongly opposed to this Studio was privatized… This issue is cleared, in this case, moreover, the Dovzhenko film Studio has national status, it is a symbol, a certain brand of Ukrainian cinema. Next year the Studio celebrates 90 years. So we defend our symbolic objects, which can invest not only the state, but other partners, and to make so-called rebranding,” – said Nyshchuk.
According to him, now in collaboration with the film Studio of Dovzhenko expressed some interest in French film, particularly in the lease and modernization of Studio facilities.
At the same time, the Minister of culture has noticed that those movie studios that are used for other purposes, can be transferred into concession or privatized without changing the profile.
“Those studios that are in stagnation, not used properly, there is a good idea to find investors one way or another is a concession, it is privatization without changing activities,” – said Nyshchuk.
