The national Bank of Ukraine introduced for non-Bank financial institutions and commercial agents of banks the obligation to open a Bank a separate account and provide for the crediting of cash in UAH, accepted for translation. The relevant rules contained in the decree of the NBU Board 17.11.2017 No. 116.

As the press service of the NBU, the purpose of the document – the strengthening of control over the operations of non-Bank financial institutions and commercial agents of banks for the acceptance of cash in UAH for further translation.

In NBU believe that the decision will help to ensure the transparency of such operations and avoid risks in the use of the accepted cash in the shadow schemes.

At the same time to ensure the accounting transactions, the NBU introduced changes to the chart of accounts for banks and the Instruction on application of chart of accounts of financial accounting of banks of Ukraine. This is stated in NBU resolution from 17.11.2017 No. 117.

Implementation of its provisions, the NBU, will give users the opportunity to obtain reliable information about the reflection in accounting of operations of receiving funds non-Bank financial institutions or commercial agents of banks for the subsequent transfer for the purpose, with the purpose of making economic decisions.

Resolution No. 116 and No. 117 take effect from 22 November 2017.
