The Nobel prize in Economics for the study of consumerism
The so-called Nobel prize in Economics in 2017, the awarded scientist Richard Thaler. This was reported by the Twitter of the prize Committee.
In Stockholm decided that the study of American theorist in the field of financial and economic behavior deserve recognition this year. Thaler is the author of the so-called theory of nudges, or, in other words, “controlled choice.”
Theiler was one of the advisers to the 44th President Barack Obama.
In 2016, the prize for Economics went to Americans Oliver HART and Bengt Holmstrom for the development of the theory of contracts.

The previously announced winners of the Nobel prize for medicine and physics: they were awarded, respectively, for the study of the principle of “biological clock” and the detection of gravitational waves. A Brit of Japanese descent Kazuo Ishiguro won the national book award, and the prize in chemistry for the development cryoelectron microscopy got Jacques Dubose, Joaquim Franco and Richard Henderson.
