Since 1991, the child population in Ukraine has decreased by almost half. This was reported by the presidential Commissioner for children’s rights Mykola Kuleba, reports UKRINFORM.

Today the country is 7.6 million children.

Ukraine is on 186 in the world in the birth rate and on the 13th – for the extinction of the nation.

In boarding schools are brought up to 1.5% of the children and orphans of them – only 8%. In such institutions every day come 250 children.

At least 600 thousand children live in dysfunctional families.
