In the annexed Crimea, Russia has deployed a new battalion set of anti-aircraft missile system s-400 “Triumph”. This is reported RIA Novosti with reference to sources in power structures.
It is noted that the complex is stationed in Sevastopol in the first place is to control the airspace over the Chongar and Armenian.
Missile system will begin to perform tasks on 12 January 2018. Its mission is “to detect and, if necessary, destroy a threat for the Crimea aerial objects from Ukraine”. The source said that Russia fears Ukrainian testing missiles.
Earlier about intention to place in the Crimea the s-400 was reported by the southern military district of the armed forces.
