The U.S. defense Department plans to significantly modify and enhance the tactics of the fight against the terrorist group Islamic state, also provide conditions for local forces in Syria and Iraq to control security. This was announced by Pentagon chief James Mattis, the press service of the U.S. Department.
Mattis noted made by the coalition led by USA progress in the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria and announced the acceleration of the campaign against terrorists.
According to the Pentagon, today released 55% of the territories previously captured by ISIS and liberated more than 4 million people.
As said Mattis, after coming to power of US President Donald trump, the coalition changed tactics with the expulsion of ISIS from the occupied territories to the environment and the depletion of terrorists, to complete destruction.

The Minister also informed that to date, the coalition includes 68 members, which convey the intelligence, military and supply funds for military actions against ISIS.
May 18, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance will not join the international coalition against ISIS and to participate in the battle.
