Today, November 14, from launch complex 2W at a U.S. air force base Vandenberg in California will be launched booster Delta II modification 7920-10C weather and mapping satellites of the new generation Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS-1), which are scheduled to be put into a polar orbit.
If weather conditions permit, the launch will take place before noon local time.

In the ten years from 2021 to 2031-th service of the United States intend to bring into space three satellites of this series (in 2021-m, 2025 and 2031).
For NASA it is the 53rd running of the rocket (and the penultimate launch of the Delta II at all).
