The investigators of the General Prosecutor’s office jointly with the National police of Ukraine conducted about 50 searches in the framework of criminal proceedings upon assignment by officials of Ukrzaliznytsia funds in especially large sizes. This reports the press service of the Prosecutor General.

The funds were rated during the period 2015-2017 procurement of rail fastenings, specified in the HCP.

Criminal proceedings opened under part 5 article 191 (assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction on it provides imprisonment for the term from 7 till 12 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to 3 years and with confiscation of property.

“Court-mandated searches are continuing in the offices of one of the departments of Ukrzaliznytsya PJSC and its branches, and also at the place of residence of employees; office and premises managers of legal entities – winners of competitive bidding, which for 2015-2017 Ukrzaliznytsia has signed agreements for the purchase of goods at deliberately inflated prices”, – stated in the message.

In addition, this scheme attracted the enterprises with signs of fictitiousness.

The court granted permission for withdrawal of the tender and accounting documents, information on computer media, sampling of the delivered goods.

Earlier, the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian said that the suspects in these criminal proceedings are deputies Yaroslav and Bohdan Dubnevichi. They belong to the company producing rail fastenings, which are purchased subordinated to the Ukrzaliznytsya company – Korosten plant of concrete sleepers.
