The Prosecutor’s office of Belgium on Friday, 3 November received the order of the court of Spain to arrest ousted the head of Catalonia Carles Pokdemon. This was stated by the representative of the Federal Prosecutor’s office Belgium Erik van der SIPT, reports Reuters.
“We will study the order and deliver it to the court tomorrow or the day after tomorrow”, – he said.
In addition, the court issued a warrant for the arrest of four ex-Ministers of the Catalan government, who also fled to Belgium and failed to appear for questioning at the request of the court. Among them Antonio comyn (Health), Meritxell Serret (Agriculture), Luis Puig (Culture) and Clara Ponsati (Education).
Earlier today it was reported that a Spanish court has issued international (European) arrest warrant for ousted head of the government of Catalonia Carles Pokdemon to the Prosecutor’s office of Belgium.
The court suspects Pokdemon and his four Ministers in the organization of the rebellion, embezzlement of public funds, abuse of official position and disobedience to the authorities.
Yesterday, 3 November, in Spain the constitutional court unanimously decided to annul the three laws, which ensured a referendum on Catalan independence.
