During the civil war in Syria, government forces used dozens of times against opposition forces chemical weapons, including the latest case in Khan Sheyhun, where it was used the poison sarin. This is with reference to the statements of investigators from the war crimes Commission says the Agency Reuters.

The independent international Commission of inquiry in Syria said that the Syrian air force dropped a container of sarin in Khan Sheyhun (Idlib province) that led to the painful death of over 80 civilians.

“Government forces continued the use of chemical weapons against civilians in the territories which are controlled by the opposition”, – stated in the UN, calling the incident in Khan Sheyhun a war crime.

Earlier the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons determined that in Idlib used sarin gas, but did not specify in the report who have used it.

UN investigators stated that documented 33 cases of chemical attacks in Syria, 27 of which gave Assad’s troops (7 himatic occurred in the period from 1 March to 7 July 2017). Who is behind six attacks with chemical weapons in the early stages of the civil war, the experts still haven’t found one.

Syrian authorities deny the use of weapons of mass destruction. In Khan Sheyhun, says Damascus, was allegedly following scenario: airstrike coalition came to storage of toxic substances jihadists. This statement investigators believe the UN is not tenable.
