Detainees in the course of the antiterrorist operation in Tbilisi, November 22, was a citizen of Russia. This was reported to journalists on Thursday the lawyer of the detained Imeda Karkashadze, the Russian reports Interfax.

Karkashadze said that the detainee wishes to remain incognito.

“My client does not want his name disclosed. He was detained before the special operation began. Today he was charged,” said his lawyer.

According to Russian media, the lawyer said that the detained citizen of the Russian Federation were captured before the special operation on the street of the monk Gabriel Salos in Tbilisi. He also insists that the prosecution probably will not be associated with terrorism.

“I was questioning, which he used right to silence. Guilt does not recognize,” said Karkashadze.

TV company “Rustavi-2” reported the arrest of two foreigners on suspicion of terrorism, which opened fire on security forces.

During the 20-hour counter-terrorism special operations on 22 November in Tbilisi was destroyed three members of an armed group.
