Ukraine must avoid actions in the area of rule of law, which can seem politically motivated. So the US state Department said the expulsion from Ukraine of citizens of Georgia, according to Voice of America.
“We are convinced of the importance of Ukraine to avoid actions in the area of rule of law, which can seem politically motivated,” said state Department spokesman in response to the request of the Georgian service of voice of America.
On 17 November, the interior Ministry reported about the detention and deportation from Ukraine of a group of aliens who are allegedly involved in activities of criminal groups and were in the country illegally.
On the same day, the SBU reported that Netpolice, security service, Migration service and border guards jointly expelled from Ukraine eight foreign citizens whose activities are “contrary to the interests of national security”.
Parliament Commissioner for human rights Valeria Lutkovska said that the deportation of Georgian citizens from Ukraine took place with violations of legislation and European conventions.
