The U.S. state Department warned citizens that in Europe there is a threat of future terrorist attacks and in this regard calls upon to be alert in places of a mass congestion of people. This is evidenced by the official statement of the US State Department.
“The recent incident in France, Russia, Sweden, the UK, Spain and Finland, which received wide publicity, suggests that the Islamic state (ISIS) and al Qaeda and their supporters have the opportunity to plan and carry out attacks in Europe”, – stated in the message.
The Department warns that U.S. citizens have always been wary of the fact that “supporters of terrorism or subordinirovannye extremists may carry out attacks with little or no warning.”
“This warning expires on 30 November 2017,” it said.
Yesterday, August 31, 2017, the police of Catalonia admitted that several months before the attack in Barcelona has received information from various sources about the possibility of attacks on the La Rambla, however, according to law enforcement officers, the warnings were from sources “with a low level of credibility”.
