The U.S. Embassy in Kiev condemned the attempt to storm the October Palace in Kiev, 17 December supporters of the former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, who after the “March for impeachment” tried to rush inside and staged a brawl with police officers. “We agree with colleagues from Canada and the UK. Attempts of takeover and destruction of public buildings is an abuse of the right to peaceful protest”, – stated in the message.


Earlier today, the ambassadors of Canada and of great Britain in Ukraine condemned the attempt of supporters of Mikhail Saakashvili to “take over” the building of the October Palace in Kiev.

We will remind,Saakashvili and his supporters after participating in the “March for impeachment” decided to build in the October Palace “coordinating headquarters”.
