The Ukrainian company will return the city hall of the Moldovan capital money for damaged during transport the spruce, which was to become the main Christmas tree of the country. This was announced by the acting mayor of Chisinau Silvia Rada, UKRINFORM reports.
“City hall will return to 15 thousand lei (about 7.5 thousand dollars) we paid for a Christmas tree. We will be returned as funds spent on transportation (more than 6.5 thousand dollars). The corresponding letter of guarantee we received from the Ukrainian company, which undertakes to return to the municipality all money,” she said.
It is noted that the Chisinau city hall bought the tree in the Ukrainian Carpathians, but upon delivery from Ivano-Frankovsk to Chisinau tree damaged. Instead of the Ukrainian Christmas tree, the authorities of the Moldovan capital has acquired the tree in one of the districts of Moldova, which was established in the city centre.
