The world Bank (WB) predicts an increase in the deficit of the state budget of Ukraine in the current year to 3.5% from 3% for FY 2016 as a result of higher wages and social standards. This writes UNIAN.

“We forecast that the fiscal deficit will be 3.5% of GDP due to higher wages in the public sector and spending on social programs”, – explained the chief economist of the world Bank in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Faruk Khan during the presentation of the updated forecast for Ukraine.

The world Bank noted that the deficit will be above the target program with the International monetary Fund.
