Over three quarters of 2017, the largest steel company in the world ArcelorMittal increased its net profit compared to the same period last year to 2.56%, and $3.53 billion reported UAprom.
For the nine months, sales totaled $50,97 billion, 19.5% higher year on year. While the company’s EBITDA grew by 36.4%, to $6,27 billion.
ArcelorMittal’s operating profit increased by 25.3%, to $4.2 billion.
“Favorable market conditions provided the next positive quarterly financial results for the 9 months EBITDA improved significantly year on year. While operating the business environment continues to improve, the key indicators indicate positive forecast until 2018,” said Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal.
Earlier it was reported that in the group of the Ukrainian steelmaker ArcelorMittal ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has got under sanctions of the United States.
