In the last week the value of Bank deposits rose for the hryvnia. Foreign exchange savings continued to fall in price. This is evidenced by the review* current Deposit programs conducted LigaBusinessInform (data 31.01.2017, see Table 1). Reduced rates of BM Bank. Marfin Bank has lowered profitableness of currency deposits. VTB Bank has increased its Deposit rates.
According to monitoring data, the average interest rate in local currency increased for deposits for the period from 3 to 6 months (by 0.01 p. p. to 14,58%). Simultaneously increased the profitability of savings by period from 6 to 12 months and over 12 months (by 0.02 p. p. to of 15.49% and up to of 14.82% per annum respectively). Remained unchanged the value of deposits up to 1 month (12,20%) and from 1 to 3 months (12,07%). Perpetual savings fell by 0.02 p. p. to of 7.93% per annum.
Deposits in the national currency: current conditions
As for deposits in U.S. dollars, fell the maximum rate on deposits for a period up to 1 month and over 12 months (by 0.06 percentage points to 2.19 per cent and up to 4,45% per annum respectively). Simultaneously decreased the yield of the perpetual savings and deposits from 3 to 6 months (by 0.02 percentage points to 1.57 percent and to of 3.97% per annum, respectively). Also simultaneously dropped in price deposits for terms from 1 to 3 months and from 6 to 12 months (by 0.01 percentage points to 2.88% of and up to 4.57% per annum respectively).
Deposits in United States dollars: current conditions
The average interest rate on deposits in Euro, the maximum decreased for deposits for a period over 12 months (by 0.07 percentage points to 3.89 percent). Deposits for a period from 3 to 6 months fell by 0.03 percentage points to 3.21% of annual. Simultaneously, 0.02 p. p., decreased the cost of the perpetual savings (1,26%) and deposits 6 to 12 months (3,83%). Dropped in price deposits for a period of from 1 to 3 months (by 0.01 p. p. to 2.39%). Deposits up to 1 month still offer of 1.51% per annum.
