In the course of military confrontation in Syria to 2017 lost about 39 thousand people. This was reported to UK-based Syrian Observatory for human rights (SOHR), reports Deutsche Welle.
The report said that among the dead for 2017, more than 2,100 children and nearly 1,500 women.
According to SOHR, fighting during the last 12 months were killed almost three thousand soldiers of the army of the regime of Bashar al-Assad and about 7 500 of his opponents, mainly supporters of terrorist groups the Islamic state and jabhat al Fatah ash-sham.
Citing such data, the Board notes that in this year of victims is somewhat smaller than in the 2016 and 2015, when their number was, respectively, 49 thousand and 55 thousand people.
A total of seven years of the conflict, which began in March 2011, the dead are considered to be almost half a million Syrians.
