US President, Donald trump has cancelled introduced Barack Obama’s ban on oil and gas production at several offshore fields off the coast of the United States. Reported by the BBC.
The decree trump opens access to offshore drilling sites in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the Gulf of Mexico and the Arctic. Obama has banned drilling for reasons of environmental protection, to prevent oil spills like in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
Trump explains the lifting of the ban the desire to create jobs.
“Today, we release the American power in the future to create thousands of lucrative jobs in the American energy sector,” commented trump his decree.
In March, trump signed a decree repealing the provisions of the law Obama to curb climate change.
