The tension in relations between Beijing and Washington will grow on the background of statements of the candidate for the post of Secretary of state in the administration of the 45th US President Donald trump Rex Tillerson about the situation in the South China sea, writes Reuters. The latter said that China needs to prohibit the use of poured in the South China sea Islands.

Tillerson has compared the creation of China in the ocean “new land” in the form of Islands and building their military infrastructure with the annexation of Crimea by Putin’s Russia.

“We intend to send China a clear signal that, firstly, the creation of Islands must stop, and, second, you (China – ed.) will not be allowed access to these Islands,” he said.

The former head of Exxon Mobil did not specify exactly how the US can prevent China to use established Islands. Earlier, the trump in the same manner promised not to allow North Korea to develop Intercontinental ballistic missile, but did not specify how Washington will prevent this.

Strengthening military presence in the waters of the South China sea, Beijing is actually encroaching on international waters, which is annually held trade flows by $5 trillion. This policy of China is disputed by the neighbors – Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.
