The Izyum city in Kharkiv region court sentenced the spy to 10 years in prison for attempting to blow up a railway bridge. This is stated in the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office.
“Izium city court supported the demands of the Prosecutor of Kharkiv region and was found guilty a man, who in the spring of this year tried to blow up a railway bridge near the station Raisins, part 2 of article 15 – finished attempt at a crime, and article 113 – a diversion of the Criminal code. The offender was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment”, – is told in the message.
In April this year a resident of Raisins laid two bombs on the railway station Raisins, which arrived trains with military equipment of the Armed Forces for antiterrorist operations.
To actuate the detonators, the attacker was planning on remotely by calling to mobile phones attached to the explosives.
He was detained by the SBU.
During inspection of the scene seized two bombs with mobile phones attached to them, and phone-detonator.
Currently, the verdict has not entered into force because the time for appeal.
