The online service taxi service Uber is ready to offer $2 billion for the purchase of a key competitor in the U.S. service Lyft. About it reports Bloomberg with reference to sources.

The company is discussing a deal in 2014. According to sources, in turn, the head of Uber Travis Kalanick will not support the deal. In his opinion, buy Lyft may entail inspection and increased attention to economic regulators.

As reported, the owners of Lyft expect to receive from the sale of the service of about $9 billion, but has not yet found buyers who agree on a price.
