President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on Ukraine’s accession to the Statute of the International Agency for renewable energies (IRENA). About it reports a press-service of the head of state.
“The implementation of the law will allow our state to use the world experience in the field of renewable energy sources, increasing the ability to attract the best of knowledge and advanced technology in this field, as well as effective financial mechanisms for these projects”, – stated in the message.
Also Ukraine’s participation in IRENA will facilitate the access of our country to preferential loans and receive recommendations for improving legislation in the field of renewable energy.
In a press-service of the President noted that the accession to the Statute will contribute to reduce the dependence of Ukraine’s economy on imports of traditional energy sources and increasing the efficiency of consumption of fuel and energy resources.
