The state Agency for the movie banned the distribution and demonstration of the film “Oles Buzina: living out of time”. This was reported on page in Facebook of the Agency.

According to the report, the decision was made by the Expert Commission on distribution and screening of films under the state.

“After reviewing the documentary “Oles Buzina: life beyond time”, a Commission by a majority of voters decided to ban the demonstration of this film on the territory of Ukraine in connection with the identified in this violations of the current legislation”, – stated in the message.

17 February 2017, it was reported that the national Council on television and radio appointed unscheduled inspections of the five companies, in particular, the PMF Horizon because of the demonstration of the film “Oles Buzina: living out of time”. The Council noted that the film can be traced to a one-sided interpretation, and a negative attitude towards the revolution of dignity, as well as to the participation of Ukrainians in the opposition to Russian aggression in the East.

“Carriers of the Ukrainian national idea is shown in a negative light, people on the Maidan and soldiers of the volunteer battalions represented as victims of anti-Russian propaganda in the media and the gun in the confrontation “between East and West,” the report says.

Elder was shot dead on 16 April 2015 at Church street in Shevchenko district of the capital near the house where he lived. On suspicion of murder in July 2015, was detained two Ukrainians – Andrey Medvedko and Denis Polishchuk. Pre-trial investigation in the case continues.
