In January-October 2017 transit of natural gas for European consumers through the territory of Ukraine amounted to 77, 4 billion cubic meters, which is 18.5% more than in 2016, In January-October remained record-breaking trend: the volume of transit amounted to a maximum of seven years. This is evidenced by Ukrtransgaz.

From the beginning, the underground gas storage facility pumped 9.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which allowed Ukraine to accumulate in UGS about 17 billion cubic meters of blue fuel. In October, injection into gas storage was completed, began the selection – 138.8 mn cubic meters, which is twice less than in October 2016

Ukraine more than 700 days does not import gas from Russia. All volumes of gas received from the EU, more than 10 months, 2017 with European destinations transported 1.5 times more gas than the same period last year, 11.8 billion cubic meters.

Compared with the period January-October 2016 arrival of natural gas in the GTS from gas producing enterprises of Ukraine increased by 500 million cubic meters (+ 3%) and amounted to 17.3 billion cubic meters.

As at October 31, 2017, the Ukrainian consumers used 21.1 billion cubic meters of gas for its own needs, which is 4% less than in 10 months of last year. Such a sharp decrease in consumption caused mainly by the relatively high temperatures in October.
