Ukraine began preparation for the audit of the International Maritime organization (MO/EMC). This was stated by the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian, the press service of the Ministry.

“At the 112th session of the Assembly of the International Maritime organization has determined the audit schedule of the member States of the International Maritime organization, in accordance with which auditing in Ukraine is scheduled for June 2018,” he said.

Omeljan recalled that in December 2015 in Ukraine with the aim of providing technical assistance in the preparations for the audit were the representatives of the International Maritime organization, which studied the situation and sent a report with recommendations on priority measures for preparation of state audit.

“For the period from December 2015, we have developed and adopted a number of national legal acts to ensure the implementation of international conventions MO, joined by Ukraine,” – said the Minister.

For maximum implementation of all possible measures for the proper preparation of the audit of the Ministry of Infrastructure asked the European Agency for Maritime security with a request of the preparatory visit.

Earlier it was reported that the Association of seaports of Ukraine for the first nine months of 2017 received income of UAH 6.1 billion.
