France and Germany supported the initiative of Ukraine on ceasefire in the Donbass on September 1. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, while on opening of the renewed kindergarten in Mangush near Mariupol. This was reported by press Secretary of the President Svyatoslav Tsegolko on Twitter.

“Our partners from France and Germany supported the initiative of Ukraine. Now everyone is waiting for a response from one person – Putin, who is responsible for the aggression, for murder,” – said Poroshenko.

The President noted that joint effort is necessary to create pressure for peace, implementation of security components that the withdrawal of Russian troops and prohibited artillery and equipment from the territory of Ukraine, to provide unhindered access by inspectors of the OSCE, release of all Ukrainian hostages in the occupied territory.

The head of state stressed that over the past three days for the first time in many weeks was implemented again prohibited the multiple launch rocket system Grad, which is well known in Mariupol.

“We hope that from September 1, silenced the guns on the main factor of instability is 409 km and 300 m of uncontrolled Russian-Ukrainian border, through which the fall of the Russian troops, mercenaries, equipment,” – said Poroshenko.

A few days ago at the regular meeting of the contact group in Minsk agreement was reached on the complete ceasefire in the Donbass from midnight on 1 September. The Ukrainian army said it was ready to provide “day of silence” September 1, despite the fact that the enemy continues to violate the Minsk agreement in terms of withdrawal of heavy weapons and use of weapons.

Hybrid the Russian army continued to fire position forces ATO and homes of civilians in the Donbass. Because of the non-ORDO of commitments on ceasefire from midnight on August 31, 2016 in connection with the start of the new academic year, Ukraine initiated an emergency video conference of the trilateral contact group on 1 September at 12:00.
