With the opening of the telecommunications tower at Chongar Crimeans, who live in the occupied Crimea, Ukraine will speak three languages – Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian and Russian. About this stated the head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, informs UKRINFORM.

“We don’t have (this hour, – ed.) other way, except with mainland Ukraine to speak with their own people in their native language. For us it is very important. We will talk with the Ukrainian people in the Crimea in three languages – Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian and Russian,” – said Chubarov.

He also expressed the hope “that will be found acceptable to the parties of the formula below from this tower into fully broadcast on the Crimea and the ATR TV channel and Radio Meydan, and Radio Lider and others.”

17 Mar built near the checkpoint of Chongar 150-foot telecommunications tower began to transmit a signal to the southern districts of Kherson region and the temporarily occupied by Russia Crimea.

Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016-m to year the Parliament of Ukraine recognized the Russian state Duma is illegitimate.
