The achievements of Ukraine in economic terms, is impressive, especially when you take into account the nature of the crisis which it is experiencing. This opinion was expressed by American economist and publicist, winner of the Nobel prize in Economics (2008) Paul Kohman at the 14th annual forum Yalta European strategy.
Krugman also noticed that to overcome the crisis, Ukraine has used and is using the experience of developed countries.
In General, during his speech, Krugman said that the world has changed, and accordingly, need to change the ways of solving economic problems. However, the world after the recent global financial crisis of 2009 was similar to the world in the 1930-ies and 1990-ies, he said.
