In 2016, the European court of human rights issued 73 decisions against Ukraine, 70 of them, the court found a violation by Ukraine of undertaken international obligations. About that today at the briefing said the head of the Supreme court of Ukraine Yaroslav Romaniuk, the correspondent ЛІГА.net.

Romaniuk noted that from Ukraine to the ECHR in 2016 came 8658 statements, 65% of them are complaints of prolonged non-fulfillment of decisions of national courts or the ECtHR. 22% of the statements filed by those who suffered losses, especially property, in the East of Ukraine, in the ATO area.

Romaniuk noted that 95% of applications that come from the Ukraine, are not taken into consideration by the European court of human rights, as they have no indication of violation of the Convention. He noted that among those statements that the ECHR takes into consideration, there are statements of those who were laid off due to the lustration procedure.

26 January 2017, it was reported that in 2016 the ECHR most of the decisions on the violation of the European Convention on human rights adopted in respect of Russia.
