Ukrzaliznytsia plans to start a second train to Poland and to facilitate passengers crossing the border between the two countries. This was announced by the Director of passenger transport, and service of ULTRASONIC Igor Romanko in an interview.

As reported, on December 23 the Railways has launched high-speed train intercity+ Kiev-Lviv-Przemysl.

According to Romancia, the Railways has set a target to open a new route to facilitate passengers crossing the border between Ukraine and Poland.

“Travel between our two countries now require much less time. And besides travel to happen in a comfortable environment. In fact, the Railways took less than a month for this project – it’s just a fantastic time,” he said.

According to him, the train is well filled, because there are so many direct passengers from Kyiv to Przemysl. “The first flight was from 50 to 300 passengers. For example, in flight of January 1, 2017 at a capacity of trains 579 seats in Przemysl traveled 268 passengers – that is almost 50 percent,” he said.

Romanko said that on 1 January 2017, the new train is used by more than 2500 passengers, and given the pre-sale has already sold about 5,000 tickets in international traffic.
