In the 2017 financial year, the United States sold to other countries arms $41,93 billion, which is almost 25% higher than a year earlier. This is the Agency for cooperation in the field of security (DSCA).
This amount includes $6,04 billion of funding for military assistance to foreign countries in the state Department program, us $3.87 billion funding programme of the Ministry of defense and $32,02 billion from the sale of weapons to the partner countries in the framework of Foreign Military Financing.
“This positive sales trend is not surprising, since the United States is a global provider of security”, – said the head of the DSCA Charles Hooper.
“We supply our partners not only the most effective defense system, but also provide so-called full package, which includes military training and maintenance”, he added.
Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that Ukraine has no doubt that she will have access to modern defensive weapons of the United States.
