The United States deployed a missile defense system in South Korea in response to the launches of ballistic missiles North Korea. This was reported by press Secretary of the White house Sean Spicer, Reuters reports.

The missile defense system will be deployed in the framework of the program of protection from the actions of the DPRK.

On 27 February the European Union adopted new restrictive measures against North Korea. Sanctions imposed under a UN security Council resolution of 30 November 2016 for the many ballistic missile tests of the DPRK.
