The planned judicial reform, the elimination of the district courts could lead to the collapse of the entire judicial system due to the dominance of production in new courts. This is what the members of civil society organizations “Law Advisory group” and “Family of the Heavenly hundred Heroes” warn Petro Poroshenko in an open letter to the President in Facebook.
Call lawyers – reaction to the approval on 21 December the High Council of justice of a draft presidential decree on the abolition of local General courts and education instead of the district courts. This decree will be abolished in 10 Metropolitan district court.
“I want to draw the attention of the President that the elimination of the district court will lead to the need for a new consideration of the cases which have been in the production of such vessels at the time of liquidation. Since the new courts will be re-recruited judges, and all the things to get on automatic distribution to determine the new composition of the court. Given the number of cases in the production of district court of Kiev will lead to the collapse of the work of future courts. And, inevitably, violate the right of the parties (a large number of people) on fair trial within a reasonable time”, – the statement says.

Supported the appeal to Poroshenko lawyers believe that there is no legitimate reason for liquidation, which allegedly did not optimize the budget expenditures, but much of them will increase.
“The President’s plans on the elimination of the district court, we believe preventing the establishment of truth in the “square” and bringing the perpetrators to justice, as their implementation will make it impossible to consider these cases within a reasonable time, if not,” the signers stress.
“The bar Advisory group” urged the President not to take “rash decisions that will lead to a collapse in the square and in the judicial system,” and also to ensure when carrying out sureform the continuity of the already started processes at constant composition of the court.
