President Petro Poroshenko is scheduled phone calls and meetings with leaders of the group of seven countries “in order to prepare for the summit at the highest level”. The head of state said yesterday, may 15, in the broadcast channel ICTV.
“I’m going to soon hold consultations with the leaders of the Big seven. Start with Germany,” he said.
May 20 Poroshenko, in his words, will travel to Berlin on a “very long and meaningful talks” with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“We will very carefully discuss the issue of coordination of our actions… I will put the question of extension of sanctions (against Russia – ed.). Not at six and 12 months. We will do maximum effort to motivate Russia to come to the negotiating table”, – stressed the head of state.
