The explosion at a checkpoint in the Southeast of Turkey near the town of Cizre killed eight people. About it reports Reuters, citing a source in the hospital.
It is also reported that injured 64 people.
Earlier it was reported that on a checkpoint of law enforcement officers in the Turkish city of Cizre, which lies in the South-East of the country near the border with Iraq and Syria, a massive explosion, it blew up the car.
The Turkish authorities have classified the event as a terrorist attack.
The city is located in the region of Turkey where a predominantly Kurdish population. Last year in Cizre was a large-scale operation of the security forces against fighters considered in Turkey as a terrorist organization Kurdistan workers ‘ party, after which Ankara was accused of violating the rights of citizens, and violence against the Kurdish population of the city.
