Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klitschko lost the fight 27-year-old British boxer Anthony Joshua during the fight in the heavyweight division, which took place in Britain at Wembley stadium.
The fight was for the title of world champion under version IBF, which has Joshua and the vacant title of world champion under version WBA and world champion under version IBO heavyweight champion.
In the fifth round, Joshua was able to send Vladimir Klitschko knocked down, leaving a bruise above the eye of the Ukrainian boxer. However, Klitschko quickly recovered and in the sixth round sent the British boxer knocked down by a strong right punch. By the end of the match, Joshua has once again started to attack actively and in the 11th round, he managed twice to send Vladimir Klitschko knocked down. By the decision of the judges the fight was stopped.
For 41-year-old Klitschko (64-4, 53 KO’s) this was the first outing in the ring with the end of autumn 2015, when he for the first time in 10 years lost, losing to compatriot Joshua (18-0, 18 KOs), a brawler Tyson fury.
