The state enterprise Yuzhny commercial Sea port intends to build a new terminal for the import and export of bulk cargo. This was stated by the acting Director of the enterprise Vitaly Zhukovsky, reported in a press-service of the port.

Zhukovsky said that the future terminal is intended for unloading of coking and thermal coal from abroad. The new terminal will increase cargo turnover, improve processing speed of vessels and the shipment of coal cars.

“In September, GP, ICC South is planning to take to different cargo owners of six vessels with the energy and coking coal, totaling more than 530 thousand tons of All berths and warehouses of the company will be involved in receiving fuel for Ukrainian power plants and steel mills. From the beginning of 2017, the energy sector already shipped 294 thousand tons of anthracite, and metallurgists – about 1 million tons of coking coal. The increase in the number of imported goods causes us to quickly solve the issues of construction of the new terminal,” – said Zhukovsky.

As reported, on September 13 transshipment complex of the port of the southern docked ship Ocean Ambitious with 62 thousand tons of coal from the United States for the TPP of Centrenergo.
