Zaporozhye titanium and magnesium combine, a part of titanium business of Group DF of Dmitry Firtash, has passed the certification of one of China’s largest consumers of titanium sponge company GoldSky.
As the press service of the company, the right to supply titanium sponge Chinese companies ztmp received after completing a comprehensive audit, conducted by authorized specialists GoldSky.
The group GoldSky titanium is a division of Chinese state-owned financial and industrial groups XiangTou Holding Group. The company operates in the market for over 10 years and is in the top 5 largest consumers of titanium sponge in China, with assets of almost $700 million.
According to the Director of ztmc Vladimir Sivak, GoldSky is not the first serious international player, which begins to run Zaporozhye titanium mill. “In 2015 ztmp began to supply titanium sponge to the largest consumers of USA, Europe and China to further its use in the aerospace industry. The cooperation with these companies has become possible after the company came to a private investor and has upgraded the capacity of the plant,” said Sivak.
The company believes that with the release of ztmc on the international market, Ukraine has a chance to become a powerful player in the so-called “titanium club”, which includes China, Japan, America, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Estimates of Group DF, the global market for titanium products consume 160-170 thousand tons of titanium sponge per year. According to analysts, the market of titanium sponge has continued to grow and by 2025 consumption growth will be about 40%. It is believed that most of the Titan will be in demand in the aerospace industry, which according to experts, in less than ten years will increase the consumption of the metal by 60%.
