The recent decrees of the President of the United States Donald trump to toughen immigration control, can touch millions of people who pose no danger to the state, known as a nation of immigrants. About it on the page wrote to Facebook founder mark Zuckerberg.
He noted that his parents, like the parents of his wife, Priscilla, were immigrants.
“Like many of you, I am concerned about the implications of the recent decrees signed by President trump,” wrote Zuckerberg.
“We have to take care of the security of this country, but it should be done, focusing on people who represent a real threat. Broaden the focus of law enforcement to other persons will not make America more secure, and will only divert resources, while millions of people are undocumented and do not pose any threat, will live in fear of deportation,” – said the head of Facebook.
Zuckerberg also stressed that the United States needs to keep “doors open for refugees in need of assistance”.
In addition, according to him, the tightening of immigration controls may interfere with the flow of US talented people.
Previously, trump has fulfilled one of his campaign promises and signed a decree on the construction of a wall on the United States border with Mexico.
He also signed a decree that restricted the immigration of refugees from Muslim countries.
